Joanna Gellner – historian and archaeologist, currently assistant professor at the Krakow Photography Department of the Krakow Museum. The author of scientific and popular science articles on photographs in the Museum collections. For several years she has been dealing with animal issues, with an emphasis on the issues of the presence of animals in human life and human-animal relations, as well as discovering animal history as an integral part of the historical process. Co-curator of the exhibition Like a dog with a cat, presented at the Krakow Museum in 2016, and co-author of the exhibition catalog. Currently, she focuses on the history of animal care in Krakow and the history of horses in the city.
